Ameena Green: conventions and public conversations

Convention panels and interviews have given Green room to discuss work beyond individual film credits.

Dream Con in Houston

Green attended Dream Con from May 30 to June 1, 2025, in Houston. She joined a panel about diversity and representation in media. Her subsequent report describes the appearance as a completed event.

The other panelists included Hilton G. George of Blerdcon, comics creator TJ Sterling and poet and professor Kyle Dargan. Questions from aspiring creatives formed part of the discussion.

Comics and convention culture

Malik Daniels documented the visit through video coverage. Green’s convention activity brought her interests in anime, comics and cosplay into a setting shared with other creators and fans.

Her magazine A3Magajin was already part of her creative work. The convention report connects her editorial project with conversations about who gets represented in popular media.

Stripped by SIA

Green and Willow Ryder joined host Steph Sia for an episode published on March 15, 2025. Its title refers to advocating for personal and professional space.

The episode description identifies research before entering the industry, communication on set and boundaries with fans among its subjects. It also discusses support from a professional community and the work involved in establishing a reputation.
